Meet MANGUMAMI, the electrifying DJ and proud Dominican creative representing New York. Infusing their sets with a love for the city's diverse sounds, MANGUMAMI's music is a fusion of Latin beats (reggaeton/dembow, merengue, bachata), hip hop, K-Pop, and other worldly genres. As a self-proclaimed “vibes curator,” a MANGUMAMI set is nothing short of a full sensory experience as they narrate their life through the power of music. L’duke (pronounced lah’duke) has been DJing in Boston and on a national level since 2005, boasting an impressive and broad range of technical skills with a music library to match. In 2011 she became the first and only woman to win DJ of the Year at the Boston Music Awards, then in 2016, she did it again, along with 9 consecutive nominations under her belt. In 2024 she’s still the only woman to have won the award, and she’s looking forward to that changing sooner rather than later.
L’duke can hop on the turntables, cdj’s, controller, drum machine, etc., whatever you want to put in front her, she seamlessly blends multiple genres, keeping any room moving and guessing. Whether it’s true open format, or carefully curated genre-focuses, L’duke has the vibe covered.
